Stars aligned today

LizaLiza

So one of the answers in my mother’s crossword puzzle this morning was RUBY.  That seems like a sure sign the baby will be born today.  Also it’s Olga’s birthday and National Moldy Cheese Day.  The stars are aligned.  There was also a physical sign last night, which I will not detail.  (Mom-ladies and Dad-gentlemen, you know which one I’m talking about.)  Apparently that particular slimey sign means labor will start in hours …. or weeks.  You’ve got to love the pregnancy timelines.

Anywho,  I’m going to hop on the treadmill do my uphill hiking for the day, weed the garden (which won’t leave much left as far as plants go) and do the budget — and maybe jump up and down on a trampoline.

Here’s a link to an article in Runner’s World titled, “How Much Does Mental Toughness Affect Race Times?” about John Hall’s research.

“Hall surveyed 706 ultramarathoners at six international events, including the Marathon des Sables in Morocco and the Comrades Marathon in South Africa. The sample included 539 men and 167 women from multiple countries ranging in age from 22 to 69.”

Spoiler: 14%  Recalculating my Rocky 100 goal now…

And Happy Birthday Olga!!

I warned her, but no dice. Maybe it was best she wasn’t born on a Wednesday though.

Monday’s child is fair of face,

Tuesday’s child is full of grace,

Wednesday’s child is full of woe,

Thursday’s child has far to go,

Friday’s child is loving and giving,

Saturday’s child works hard for a living,

But the child who is born on the Sabbath Day

Is bonny and blithe and good and gay.

OK, she missed this Thursday, but Saturday could be twisted into an ultrarunner omen too. 🙂

Well, I’m definitely not Monday’s child. Lol. I’m thinking Wednesday or Saturday.

If I were you, I would hope for Friday or Saturday. Sunday’s child is always going to be absorbed with what they have to do at work on Monday.
