Oh my gosh!  It’s been crazy busy around here with the usual mom stuff and some karate thrown in.

(Good grief the cuteness is paralyzing.  If you’re having a bad day, come over to World Karate and watch Asa practice his side kicks and tiny punches.  I spend the entire half hour class chuckling and chortling and snorting — and giving Asa a thumbs up every now and again when he looks my way.  I hadn’t planned to put Asa in any martial arts classes — I still have flashbacks to some particularly horrible Aikido classes during my first marriage — but Dave Brown, the owner and primary instructor at the karate studio is my running buddy — and just the person you want you child learning things from.  I’d have signed Asa up for jai alai classes if Dave had been teaching.)

I’ve also been coaching my brains out.  I love it.  But I am also having a hard time fitting in my own workouts.  If only sleep were optional.  That’s the hardest bit about training for me — getting enough sleep so I can train like I need to — and be civil.

Right, so I am going to hop on the downhill treadmill Eliot made me and get some running done.  2o miles on the schedule today and some leg and core work.  Whoop!

Eliot put the treadmill up on blocks for me.  We think it’s about an 8% grade, but our geometry is rusty.  And it’s only a matter of time before I trip and smash into the wall.  But this is what us flatlanders have to do.  🙂
I can’t wait until Asa goes back to karate next week so I can see him in that uniform again.

Glad you are doing well. If finally started running after a month off due to injury. Asa looking good. Take care.

There is not much better than the little ones in Karate. I always find it highly entertaining and amusing to watch Petra at TKD.

We all sure do appreciate your coaching!  You certainly seem to balance this all out and maintain a fantastic family-athlete balance.  Thanks Liza.
