I’m starting to think about MdS as a restful vacation with a bit running thrown in. I’m not underestimating the desert...
Here’s the finished product of the article I was whining about writing for irunfar last week.
Check out the rest here!
Behind the scenes!
So I made this splint one-handed. I would have tightened those buffs down if I’d had another hand, but it’s not so easy to tie knots with one hand. Also, it was in the 90s when I made this thing and I was so happy when I was able to rip it all off and get back inside to the air conditioning.
We had to drag Asa out of the garage and put him on some unraked leaves at the end of our driveway to get this shot.
Please picture Ruby and me holding Asa up while he keeps the huge leg splint elevated and I yell at him not to ruin it. And it’s 90+ degrees.
What’s making me happy: Rob and Joe are out at the camp where we’ll have the trail camp doing recon and they sent back this picture. Yay!
Running: 70 minutes easy. That’s right! We’ve broken the 60 minute barrier! Watch out, Houston marathon.
