Like a Drain 283/365

I broke my “Sleep 8 Hours” vow and stayed up most of last night working. I just couldn’t stomach another day not having my work done or trying, unsuccessfully, to get it done while kid chaos reigned.  I did go to bed at 9pm as scheduled, so it wasn’t a complete break down. I just got up three hours later at midnight. I put out all the fires, and now, it’s just two more hours until bedtime. So excited. I’m going to start Strava-ing again tomorrow — now that my baby toe is no longer useless.

What’s making me happy: Asa’s newest reading assignment. “A trail of blood was left on the mud where the creature crawled. This was because it fed on living things and had grown so fat and swollen in its greed that bits of the people it had eaten dripped from its scummy lips and crooked teeth. It’s claws were red and its breath, coming in little gasps, stank like a drain.”

Right on!! Much better than the version I read back in the day.

Running: Day off!
