I’m starting to think about MdS as a restful vacation with a bit running thrown in. I’m not underestimating the desert...
Itsy bitsy 262/365
LizaToe pain scale:
1 = Let’s run 62 miles on pavement!
10 = Return the USA roller bag and everything in it.
Today: 7
Looks like I might be able to keep all the gear. USATF was quite clear that it’d have to be returned if you didn’t race.
Regardless of what happens, I will not be running 100km in 7km chunks wearing this itsy bitsy bottoms. Wind resistance be damned!
I’m going to try to run tonight and see how it goes. Keep your fingers crossed. I might also invest in a pair of steel-toed boots and a roll of bubble wrap to use before the 8th.
What’s making me happy:
Running: 10-40 minutes?

It has always bothered me that someone seems to think women need to do athletics in “itty bitty bottoms”. Granted mens racing shorts can be short, but they don’t have “butt huggers” creeping up their ass to distract them. I could wax on… Volley ball, especially sand volley ball, tennis,
just more examples of a big ole ??? in my mind.

Eliot asked me to show him a picture of Serena Williams’ tennis “cat suit” last night because he’d been hearing about the controversy at work. We both sat there dumbfounded. How is that objectionable in 2018? And then I got grumpy the motivation of the censure. The running bottoms don’t get me as exercised (HA!). They just seem uncomfortable — and wouldn’t give my thighs much chaffing protection. I’m going to wait until I’m 70 to wear them in races. 😉

I think the swish should go on the ass lol ? Agree with comments by Sandy on this as a former volleyball player turned ultrarunner. Is there a Courtney Dewaulter length in the kit?!?
Liza
There are flappy shorts and capris and leggings. Because I am so short, the flappy shorts will allow me to try to tap into the wonderfulness of Courtney.
