Cleanliness 229/365

Ruby has a little friend whose mom keeps an immaculate house.  She’s dropping her daughter off today for a playdate, so I’ve been running around like a nut trying to make this house look like a place that’s safe to leave your child. You’d think this wouldn’t be a tall order, what with us being gone for almost a full week, but you’d be wrong. So wrong. I’ve read how I’ll pine for the kids and their mess when they’re grown and out of the house — and all I have is dusted pictures of them. But, I don’t know. Right now, I’m thinking I might just be old and happy … in a house with a nice clean bathroom.  (You know better, of course.) I just need to find Ruby friends who have moms with lower standards of cleanliness.

What’s making me happy:

Running: Run 1: 60 minutes easy. Run 2: 30 minutes easy.
