Weekend Mondays 177/365

LizaLiza

You know, teaching out of town all weekend makes Monday and Tuesday kind of a wash. I always wake up Monday morning thinking, Whew, REST DAY! And then it hits me: No, today’s the day I catch up on the work I didn’t do on the weekend while I was working.

Today, Eliot let me lie in bed making peace with Monday’s realities while he fried up bacon and eggs for the kids. And then he brought me a cup of coffee in bed, so I could actually start working on the work. He’s a good man.

The other part of Mondays after a weekend away is the cat hair. I know this is a common and uninteresting lament, but I’ll make it anyway because I just vacuumed up two canisters full of cat hair off our 8×10 living room carpet. I don’t know how those cats have any hair left of their bodies!! How can they do this day after day???? If only cat hair was valuable, I could set up a little stand in the front yard and sell it instead of traveling every weekend to teach Wilderness First Aid courses.

What’s making me happy:

Running: 1 hour easy with 4 x 30 seconds fast/2 min easy
