I ran with my speedy buddy at 5:30 this morning. It went surprisingly well — mostly because he’d run hard in the heat the day before, and he was pretty wiped out. I’m going to start back up on Strava soon. I need to start concentrating on pace again, and that Strava platform is a great motivator.
Then I ran with my friend Lisa tonight to finish the miles and do some specific speed work. I felt a lot better than I expected to, but I don’t think it was particularly speedy. I didn’t look.
Only 79 days until Worlds and trying to hold something in the 7s pace for ten 10k loops.
What’s making me happy: We got a new couch!!
(Now we need some shorter curtains.)
Running: 20 min easy, 6 x 3 min fast/3 min easy, 20 min easy. Think 10k to start, 5k to finish
