I haven’t been drinking alcohol for about 7 weeks now. I needed to take a break because I have to work at night after the kids go to bed, and I’m just not productive enough after a beer or two. Maybe I’ll pick up again once the kids are both in school and my “free time” is more predictable — and there’s no real excuse for me not to get eight hours of sleep a night. That’s two years from now. We’ll see. I’ve been buying myself small motivational rewards every week to keep me going — mostly Patagonia dresses on Ebay. And I’ve been drinking a lot of kombucha — which is not as fun.
