So I’ve been burning the candle at both ends and in the middle in order to pay off some debt and get our savings in order. We’re almost there, and I’m getting excited to use the candle for something other than a fuel source.
I’d like to go back to school, but I’m not sure exactly for what. I’m going to homeschool Asa next year, so maybe I should try to make it my own year of home schooling too. I want to get my Spanish back to being serviceable. And I need to start reading something higher than 6th grade reading level books. I need a reading list. I thought briefly about going to law school. I could spend the year studying for the LSAT. But that seems like to much of a shift this late in life. PhD in Education? Learn to weld? Hmmm.
Send me your ideas. Clearly, everything is on the table.

What’s making me happy: I asked friends who got a Band of Runners shirt to take a picture in it that I could post on the website. I took a picture with a chicken. So Rick sent this.

Running: 75 min easy with 4 x 2 min fast /3 min easy plus 16 minutes with 4 x 30 seconds hills hard.

Adult Ed is super interesting. Maybe you could design courses and evaluate them instead of delivering them?

That’s a good thought. There’s one easy route I can take to do that. I’ll have to start pursing it.

What do you love to do, and what makes you feel good to do? (and do you want to do those for pay, or would that change the enjoyment? or do you just want to do them?)
How do you want to put your gifts to service? Do you need more official schooling to do that (or just some certification you could get) or is it that you want to officially be a student again? If the latter, what attracts you about being a student? Just learning new things, or learning from others, or…. ?

Such good questions. Today, my answer to that first question is: napping. 😉 Thanks for directing my thoughts today.
