I’m starting to think about MdS as a restful vacation with a bit running thrown in. I’m not underestimating the desert...
You know, there’s nothing quite like waking up in back of your car in a Walmart parking lot to make you question choices you’ve made in life.
Ruby and Asa are still asleep (Thank God!) while I type up in the front seat. The people who pick up the trash left in the parking lot have already been by, and now it’s pretty quiet except for a few early morning shoppers. I think there are at least three other cars here who have overnight guests in them. I wonder what their choices were.
We’ll meet up with Jim at a coffee shop in about an hour and then drop Ruby off at camp. My plan is to head back to the coffee shop and work while Asa does his summer reading. Then it’s just going to be a matter of staying awake and keeping Ruby civil until bedtime.
