Now is the time of year when all the articles come out about how great heat training is — especially for racing at altitude. I am of the opinion that, whatever the science, all of these articles are written by people living in Nova Scotia. It was a nice and humid 95 degrees here today in San Antonio. Any physiological benefits I accrued were surely weakened by my increased desire to punch well-meaning science journalists in the nose.

      It kind of hit us fast this year. It was pretty temperate through the beginning of May and then WHAM 95 degrees. Time to run Badwater.
