Turns out my co-instructor was right. She was shorter. First time for everything.

We think we’re probably the shortest instructor team at the school. There should be a prize.

So I went for a run this morning. The weather is beautiful here in Pullman, Washington. Gorgeous. I think it was probably in the mid-50s when I started my run. Crazy.

I’d been running for about 20 minutes (thinking about being tall) down this lovely road.

When I looked to my left and saw:

The chain link fence is very clear in this picture, but my brain didn’t see it when I first spotted the grizzlies.

Conscious: Grizzlies!

Subconscious: AHHHHHHH!!!!

Conscious: Oh wait, there’s a fence.

Heart: 170 bpm.

What’s making me happy: Bishop Michael Curry’s Sermon

Run: 90 minutes and 45 minutes.

The bears are awesome! I was in Pullman last fall to visit friends (and to run in a new place) and they took us to see the bears!

That’s so cool! I wish I’d had more time to run while I was here and to get on the trails. It was so pretty.
