Fly sucking 166/365

LizaLiza

Every year, about this time of year, we have an explosion in the house fly population. It’s unnerving. You turn around, and suddenly, there are five flies at each window. Then 10. Then 15. I have no idea where they’re coming from — besides outside. I bribed Asa with extra computer time to help me with the fly swatting. 2 minutes for every fly killed. It helped, but we were still outnumbered by an unreasonable factor.

Then I remembered the vacuum cleaner.

I have to say, it’s pretty satisfying sucking up flies with a vacuum cleaner hose. Much less cleanup too.

Anyway, that’s pretty much all I’ve been up to today.

What’s making me happy: This article about gratitude.
