I’m starting to think about MdS as a restful vacation with a bit running thrown in. I’m not underestimating the desert...
Gluttony 105/365
LizaThe San Antonio Rockhoppers annual Beer and Donut Mile was today.
Here’s our post-gluttony photo.
Eliot was out of town, and as I like to savor both my donuts and my beer, Asa represented the Howard family.
The last time he ran the Donut Mile, he DNF’d after Donut #2. This year, he and his pancreas dug deep. I’m calling this photo “Glazed.”
He did not, however, beat Chris.
Despite Stefan’s pre-race warmup.
As the kids get older, I’m more conflicted about taking them to the Beer Mile. Asa and I talked a bit about immoderation and drinking to excess on the way out to the get together, but mostly, I let gluttony do the teaching.
What’s making me happy:
This picture my friend Casey sent me of Lou Meyers who is 90 years-old and did the trail half marathon at Grasslands last weekend.
Running: 7 trail miles with a speedy friend who almost killed me.
