The Letter “I” 90/365

I made the letter “I” today.

My dear friend, Rachel, is in town for a quick visit before she heads out to the Guadalupe Mountains with another friend. She tiptoed into our house sometime around 11pm last night after we’d gone to sleep, bedded down on the couch, and was up early for our family’s morning chaos. We really need to get a foldout couch, so she’s more likely to do this in the future. She made the kid drop-off rounds with me, and then we ran some miles on the trails. It was perfectly great. I kept running afterwards on the street in front of the park while she sat in her car working.  Then we got coffee. I need more Fridays like this.

What’s making me happy: The size of the cinnamon rolls at Cuppencake.

I was too hot and sweaty to want one. I was just pleased by their existence.

Running: This was actually 20 miles. The first three were with Rachel.
