San Antonio has one of the biggest Martin Luther King Jr. marches in the nation. There were somewhere between 200,000 and 300,000 people there today. (I lost count.)
Asa and his buddies covered the 2.75 miles without complaint — except when the crowd stopped now and again. Then they complained. “Why do we have to keep stopping? How much farther do we have to go? When will we have lunch?”
The Texas weather gods were kind to us, and the weather couldn’t have been nicer. A good South Texas winter day.
