In my inbox this morning from NOLS Wilderness Medicine:

Greetings folks,

We have a last minute opening on a 10 day Wilderness First Responder in Patagonia 52km from NP Torres del Paine.

Please only reply if you are ready to pack your bags immediately.

Torres del Paine National Park

Arrrrghhhh!!!! No, I cannot fly to Patagonia for 10 days tomorrow.

So maybe my goal for 2018 should be “Always ready to pack bags immediately.”

I don’t know, that doesn’t seem like much of a mom-of-a-4 -year-old goal.

Running: 20 minutes easy. 12 x 2 minutes hard effort. 20 minutes easy.
