Chicken-sitter 12/365

LizaLiza

The chicken sitter came by today, to get the chicken-sitting low down.

“Any live chicken experience?”

“Nope.”

“Well, there’s not much to chicken-sitting.”

I identified the chickens, their feed, the water spigot, and we were done. Actually, the guy was concerned about the girls’ warmth. The temperatures might drop down to numbers we identify as cold down here. So I showed him our chicken-warming light. I also gave him my phone number for any emergencies. Chicken emergencies.

We’re sharing this guy’s services with our neighbor who has two dogs. I’m curious how much he’ll tack onto his dog prices for the chickens.

Running: 20 minutes easy (with Asa). 15 x 1 minute fast/1 minute easy. 20 minutes easy.

You can tell your chicken sitter that the girls will be fine with the cold. As long as they are fully feathered, they will not need that heat light. We hit single digits at times with no problems. Have a great Christmas!
