And then there were four

LizaLiza

I’m lying here in bed, and if this wasn’t a blogging steak, I would look at a few more Irma tweets, and then call it a day. But it’s a streak, dammit!
So two of the chicks are in Chicken Heaven. The Twins. Perhaps evil befell them because we never distinguished one from the other. Camilla, Bolt, Sweetheart and Pio are fine.
Grim Details:
1pm: Chicks taken from garage & put into the backyard coop / chicken fort
5pm: Chicks shown to friends
1 chick, 2 chicks, 3 chicks, 4 chicks….
One of the Twins found headless at the very edge of the coop where the chicken wire meets the ground.  The second Twin just gone.
The kids were entirely unperturbed. Chickens are harder to fall in love with than puppies. And Chicken Heaven is a soothing notion.
We’ve made the coop more secure, so hopefully the others will live long and prosperous chicken lives.

Running: 4 miles + 1 hour easy

Goodnight!

This is really a sad post (how odd that the twins were targeted), but you still managed to make me laugh. (The “blogging steak” typo kicked things off nicely!) I was thinking that the twins were the two bright yellow ones, but I went back to the original chicken post and the twins were the ones with yellow butts (granted, the two yellow ones had yellow butts too). It’s great that the kids took it all so well.

Now that is a nice typo. I have to add in a proof-reading streak. Good point about the yellow butt count. The Chosen Four are doing well.
