I’m starting to think about MdS as a restful vacation with a bit running thrown in. I’m not underestimating the desert...
Back on the wagon
LizaGood grief. It was a hard climb back onto the blogging wagon this time. February hit like a tornado (literally). I flew in from Dallas on Sunday night about 40 minutes before one of the tornados hit San Antonio. The landing was not tornado bumpy, but it did have me mumbling a few prayers.
I’ve been slacking on the blogging because of work (coaching), and work (teaching wilderness medicine) and work (the trail camp for veterans and Gold Star families) and running. So good things, but I miss sitting down to string sentences together. I just can’t think of anything to write at the end of the day other than “I’m tired.” And in the mornings, I feel like I shouldn’t be looking at the computer instead of Eliot and the kids. I’ll figure it out.
The running has been going well. I’m still not quite normal asthma-wise. My peak flow meter readings are about 20 L/min below what they should be in the morning, — but they’re 70 L/min better than what they were. Right now, I’m trying out my third medication combo, and I’m supposed to be making an appointment with a pulmonologist. I’m waiting until March for that co-pay.
OK, I’d better get back to work. It’s already too late. Bleh.
Running: 4 miles easy and 10k moderate hard
PS. It was 88 degrees here today. February 22.
