I’m starting to think about MdS as a restful vacation with a bit running thrown in. I’m not underestimating the desert...
Seated and #sportbrasquadLiza
Gargh! The horses bolted yesterday, and I toppled off the back of the blogging wagon before I’d even taken my seat.
(That’s me standing there.) It’s all okay now. Eight hours of sleep and I’m ready to do great things — or at least run 20 miles in 89 degree weather and clean our bathroom.
It’s not 89 yet, but the thermometer is climbing fast, so this will be a short post.
Have you all read about the whole #sportsbrasquad thing? It’s worth checking out. I’m going to join in the belly-baring fun. My belly hasn’t seen the light of day for a decade or two, but I think it’s important to try to set an example of accepting what you look like. Form follows function.
I also think it’ll be good for people to see that you don’t need look like a cover model to run well. (Note to self: Start running well.) And, more than anything, I want to do as much as I can to help Ruby to stay as happily unselfconscious about her body as she is now.
I just need some sports bras…
I only have two (I know!!!) and they’re not fit to be seen. I also need some good sunscreen. (And you’ll want some sunglasses.) As soon as those are in hand, it’ll be all sports bras all the time — or at least until November when it cools off again.
Running: 20 miles at an easy to moderate pace.
