I’m starting to think about MdS as a restful vacation with a bit running thrown in. I’m not underestimating the desert...
It is my birthday today! I am celebrating by drinking coffee and running (celebrating normalcy) — and also by having some women over tonight for cake and a bit of activism. I already made my birthday calls to my senators (Gotta say, I never thought I’d be calling Ted Cruz on my birthday.), and I got a chest x-ray, so the day is really chugging along. The chest x-ray is to make sure it’s just asthma I’ve been dealing with — and the calls to the senators… well, you know.
Since I’m not going to run 45 miles to celebrate, I’m thinking either 45 (tiny) cups of coffee or 45 donut holes … or maybe just a 45 minute nap. We’ll see.
It’s also my dad’s birthday today. Here were are many years ago — when he was younger than I am now.
I hope you all have a wonderful day too.
Running: 90 minutes with 12 x 2 minutes hard.
Band of Runners Trail Camp Update: We’re legally incorporated in North Carolina! Next stop: 501c3 status!! Chris McWatters has given us a race entry for any of the Tejas Trails races from Rocky 50 on to use in a drawing to raise more funds. I’ll put the offer up on FB and Twitter on Monday, but every $5 donation between now and Wednesday Feb. 8 at midnight gets you a ticket in the drawing. Donate $5 one ticket, $10 two tickets etc. 🙂
