Now she’s kicking them around.  I haven’t had enough coffee to intervene.  Oh, there go the memory game cards.  Must get another cup…

We recorded the first episode of Season 3 of “Becoming Ultra” last night.  I’ll get a link up when I can.  I’ll be helping a Team RWB veteran train up for The North Face 50 in December.  It was pretty hard to choose between all the candidates.  I expect we’ll get a bit of grouchy feedback.  We nixed one candidate because he is a stay-at-home dad with an 11 month-old.  Obviously, parents of young children can train for and run ultras successfully. But, having done it, I was really loathe to introduce that particular kind of stress into someone’s life.  I didn’t want to be responsible for stealing weekends away.  I think he’d be better off without a rigorous plan and a biweekly podcast.  Ultimately, he should blame Ruby if he’s unhappy about the choice — and all the time I spent away from home and in the sauna before MdS.  Anyway, it should be great — except the part where my voice gets recorded in casual conversation.  Not my talent.  You’d think with as much podcast listening as I do, I’d develop a facility for it.  Nope.  Probably entails practice — and I’m too busy picking hundreds of tiny game pieces off the floor for that kind of thing.

I splurged on a babysitter today and I’m going to run 12 MAF miles.  Very very very excited.

Oh, I almost forgot!  I have pictures of Eliot and Asa on the Camino for you.
