Princess slumber

LizaLiza

The cats and I are up early working.  They’re batting a ball over the kitchen and living room floors, and I’m writing running schedules.  I’d like to switch jobs, but mine comes with coffee.  Ruby is still fast asleep under the pink glow of her new princess night light.   The only princess night light that Target had was one that projected Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Ariel on the ceiling like a bat signal.  It’s awful — but awful enough that I kind of like it.  And it kept all the monsters of the dark away.  (“Oh crap! We can’t go in there.  She’s put out a call to the princesses.  Keep under the bed and into the closet everybody!)

(Like Ruby’s light, but different princesses being hailed.)

Ruby slept through the night — or she didn’t holler vigorously enough to wake me.  Go princesses!

I get to run with friends at Government Canyon for the first time in a very long time this morning.  I can’t wait.  18 miles with the MdS pack.  Whoop.
