Marathon des Sables Training and Ruby serenade

LizaLiza

My brain feels like it’s been atrophying since Monday.  I can barely manage to guzzle coffee out of my 2015 WMI staff gift.

Oh, let’s be real. This is my new coffee-guzzling mug.  (Thank you, Ricky!)

And here is the first bit of my MdS training.  85 days to go…

I’ll work on naming it today.  I’m not quite sure what sea animal I’m feeling like this morning.  It might be time to move onto mammals.

Sloth to Stage Race…

And last, but not least, I have a movie of Ruby singing a very short song while holding a kitten.  If you are having a hard morning, send me a  note, and I will email it to you.  Guaranteed to help.  (Alternately, if you have computer skills and want to teach me how to embed videos this morning, send me a note too.)

Why choose? Use both hands and guzzle coffee from both mugs! 🙂 Also, I love the enthusiasm on Ruby’s face.

If you are doing 18 miles at 7:50 pace WITH a pack a week after Bandera, I would say you are WAY past sloth stage!

I was such a wreck afterwards, Pam. And I didn’t run anything close to 7:50. Liza Slothy Howard

Agree with Pam! I’d be happy to manage that pace for that distance…. without a pack…. on flat roads…..!

Eliot gave me some trail time, so the pace was nowhere near 7:50. It probably wouldn’t have been on the road either, of course.

I don’t have any moss growing on my hair yet, but otherwise, I looked a lot like that today, Cheryl.
