The trails of New Zealand and some city streets in Germany made for a great speed workout on the treadmill today.  Ruby and I went swimming afterwards, and I think that’ll be the carrot that gets her through two hours of child care from here on out.  She had such a good time.  The Lifetime membership comes with a free month of swim lessons, and I was required to have Ruby assessed for placement.  I assured them she didn’t know how to swim and we could skip the assessment, but apparently there are two levels of sinkers.  The happy ones and the unhappy ones.  Ruby is now cleared for Splash 1o1 — having skipped over Intro to Splash.  I am not making this up.  We spent 15 minutes one-on-one with a lifeguard determining this.
