I’m starting to think about MdS as a restful vacation with a bit running thrown in. I’m not underestimating the desert...
Negative Ghost Rider and BedazzledLiza
Well, maybe this kid will be “loving and giving.” That’s Friday’s child. No particular signs pointing to an imminent delivery — except today is also National Coming Out Day. (Yeah, more “out of the closet” than “out of the uterus,” but a pregnant lady can hope.)
It’s only 29 days until the Trail Running Camp and my garage is full of boxes. I’m starting to feel a bit claustrophobic on the treadmill. Whole Foods just agreed to donate a bunch of fruit to the camp, which is wonderful. Now I just need to find a nice bakery willing to send out some tasty bread. I figure I’ll head out to the bakeries this weekend with some RWB literature and see what I can make happen. What kind of bakery would deny bread to a wildly pregnant lady? Or if Ruby makes an appearance, I’ll bring her around to the bakeries with me. Who could deny bread to a teeny baby full of loving and giving? Need to order a RWB onesie…
I’m reading Matt Fitzgerald’s The New Rules of Marathon and Half-Marathon Nutrition today. And I’m going to finish Dr. Perlmutter’s Grain Brain. My parents are here from DC to help take care of the baby, so in the meantime they’re taking care of me — which means I actually have time to read and think and stuff. It’s lovely.
OK, time to tread uphill and do some arm weights. I was counting on baby lifting to get rid of my Tyrannosaurus Rex arms, but dumbbells will have to do today.
PS. Here’s a fellow walking in front of me on the bike path yesterday. Can you make out the embedded bedazzling of the eagle’s head? That had to hurt. His nipples were also bedazzled. Of course.
