Leaves in hot water
I’m about to get off my bottom and head out the door for 15 miles. In just one more cup of coffee. Or two. I read something persuasive about the benefits of green tea yesterday, and feeling Whole30 fragile, I broke down and bought some. I hate green tea, but I forget that every six or eight months and get some. This time I went with the pricey stuff to see if it made a difference. It’s probably the Whole30 sugar deprivation talking, but I hated it a little less than usual this time. It’s only a matter of time now before I’m buying a bombilla and singing the praises of mate. This is what comes of the Whole30 business. Leaves in hot water become tasty. Bah.
Alright out the door and into the Texas winter. Hope your day is going well so far.

You think beans in hot water are better?
Ha, what am I talking about!
I know, I know.
Nah, you haven’t gone all the way yet. When you start making green tea kombucha, then you’ve gone deep into the real food abyss.
I’m only on the edge of the abyss, eh? Frightening.
Also if my store bought strawberry flavored kombucha only has 30 calories does that count as “sugar?”
Keep it going Liza – seriously impressed with your resolve!
Thanks! It’s easier since it’s become a bit of a thing/cult among a bunch of the San Antonio runners.
