I’m starting to think about MdS as a restful vacation with a bit running thrown in. I’m not underestimating the desert...
Zombie attack and hydration
LizaI would have written yesterday, but there was a zombie attack. Thank goodness these guidelines were posted in the hallway.
It was only a Class 1 attack.
Other than the zombies, yesterday was fairly uneventful. More teaching, more acclimatization. I was up to 94% this morning. I stumbled upon Dr. Noakes new book Waterlogged: The Serious Problem of Overhydration in Endurance Sports. Wow!!! You should read this one. I got sucked into the chapter on the history of the development of Gatorade. Wow!! I’ll write more when things slow down here a bit, but it’s definitely had an impact on my thoughts on race nutrition.
PS. I ran around Turquoise Lake again this morning. I’m going to have to venture on some actual hills tonight.

Oh geez, now I have to buy another book! It’ll be my reading on the commute to school.
haha I’m a zombie movie freak, that’s too awesome.
And wow that’s beautiful!

I haven’t torn through a book like that in a long time. I’m looking forward to going back and reading it slowly now. No zombies today besides me because I stayed up late. 🙂

That’s what I was thinking too Erin. It’ll be neat to figure out together.

Ellen and I had a zombie encounter at Garner this weekend too! Level 1. We need a zombie attack prep meeting when you get back, stat!
