Ultrarunning Mom

For your listening pleasure

Once the kids and your non-running spouse fall asleep on your Thanksgiving drive home, here is something for your listening pleasure from UltraRunner Podcast.  (Hal Koerner and me.)

I haven’t listened to the whole podcast yet.  Fingers crossed I do not sound like a wingnut — more of a wingnut than usual.  Thanks to the folks at Ultra Runner Podcast for the excitement.  :)

    Hi Liza,
Just listened to the podcast.  Excellent from start to finish.  Big fun hearing you guys tell stories.
Just to plant a seed, if you don’t do WS, maybe you would consider doing the Kettle 100.  We have 100k and 100 mile runs.  Also, the 100 mile is only 100.2 miles.
    Thanks for sharing,
    Gene

Kettle Moraine is definitely on my fuzzy list for next summer.  ”Fuzzy” because it’s probably about time we try put all those baby clothes I have packed away to use.  Not getting any younger and all that.  God willing.  :)

It was a great podcast.  I’m glad I listened to it on a easy run day that way I could stop to laugh.  Oh and don’t listen to Gene.  KM100 is a horrible race with really mean people, and there’s no scenery to speak of.  I’m only kidding, but if you run it, it would ruin my ultra signup score because that’s the 100 that I’m running.

Did you laugh at the part when they said I was fun to watch and then everyone laughed?  Fun as in funny?  Fun as in nice compression shorts?  Fun as in what kind of drama will she get herself into this race?  (Yes, I was a disaster in 7th grade.)
See my response to Gene.  :)

Oh yeah, the part where they said you were fun to watch and then there was no more explanation was definitely funny.
So, are you saying what I think you’re saying?  If so, I hope it all goes well for you and as we all know having a baby doesn’t take you out of the action for long.

Thanks Sarah!  I just kind of figured I didn’t was tired of getting a full night’s sleep and I missed having to stop at the race aid stations to nurse.
