Javelina Jullabaloo

LizaLiza

I’m sitting in a church hallway listening to the Cherub Choir practice.  The four year-olds are singing and tango-ing.  I might have recovered from the Cuteness by Javelina.  Hard to say, it’s pretty overwhelming. My brain is starting to cramp.

Today I’ll be busying myself eating carbs and packing race supplies.  There’s already a large pile on the desk in the living room, which looks about four times as big as my carry on bag.  I’ll have to do some hard thinking today to get it all to fit.  One pound of post-race Jelly Bellies or two?  One bag of Harvest Cheddar SunChips or two?  The Das Parka?

(I have a bit of a puffy jacket problem.)

There was a 40% chance of rain in the race forecast, but now it’s down to 10% during the day and 30% at night.  I’m hoping the Phoenix area rain predictions are like San Antonio’s rain predictions.  30% means 30 rain drops.  Regardless, rain gear is now taking up room on the packing desk.  And I’ve got enough GU products to sustain me for 30 hours of running.  You never know what a 100-miler might bring you.  If the day goes well, I’ll happily give the extras away.

Asa is up and just used the word “blog.”  As in,”Why are do you always write in that blog?”   Arrghh, the Guilt!  It’s so heavy; I can barely lift my finger to click the “Publish” button.

PS. Here’s where you can follow the race on Saturday and Sunday.   http://www.aravaiparunning.com/avr/ultracast/

If I were a bettin’ woman, I’d bet you take the cake on Saturday.  But, I don’t bet, so I’ll just say you’ll probably have about 15-16 gels left over after you finish 🙂  Looking forward to bearing witness to it as the husband and I make our way around the loops in a slightly more pedestrian time, lol 😉  Woo woo!

I am very excited to go out for a run. Hope to have good, but not horribly drama-filled stories afterwards. 🙂

Go Liza!!!  I’m sending support vibes from Hotlanta all weekend.  Maybe you’ll sense them – they smell like fried chicken.
