I’m starting to think about MdS as a restful vacation with a bit running thrown in. I’m not underestimating the desert...
Let’s run Mom!
LizaEliot and Asa were out in the driveway when I got home from Austin last night. Asa sprinted (and I mean sprinted) towards the car when he caught sight of me. He threw himself into my arms, gave me a hug and then said, “Okay, let’s run!” So we ran around the yard and up and down the driveway for a while. This was, of course, wonderful. I was dead tired from teaching and driving, and I still had some running of my own to do, so “I’ve created a monster” did cross my mind, but by the 9th lap of the yard, I was entirely happy. Then Eliot called us in for dinner. My three year-old prefers barefoot running in case you’re wondering.
